These options were designed with the aim of improving operator workstation ergonomics, to prevent MSDs.
To address the variety of industrial environments, IMS products accomplish the four essential, universal movements of:
- Elevation – lifting a load
- Tilting – angling a load
- Rotation – orienting a load
- Mobility – moving a load
- Combined Functions – Elevation with Rotation – Elevation with Tilt – Elevation with Tilt and Rotation
ELEVATION
PNEUMATIC CONSTANT LEVEL DESKS
Pneumatic constant level desks are designed to automatically raise and lower pallet levels during loading / unloading.
As loading / unloading is performed, desk level varies automatically due to the variation in weight, thus lowering / raising desk without the need to operate a control unit.
Desk sensitivity is adjustable by means of a variable sensitivity pneumatic cylinder, based on adjustment pressure applied.
No energy consumption – Once air level is set, desk operates in a closed circuit, with no energy consumption or permanent power cable connection required; DESK CAN THUS BE MOVED EASILY.
THE GUARANTEE OF WORKING AT THE RIGHT HEIGHT – The level is self-correcting as work progresses, so there is no time lost in effecting level changes.
HIGHLY ERGONOMIC – The upper, rotating tray facilitates access to the four sides of the pallet, so the operator no longer needs to move around the load.
This self-levelling pneumatic desk is an excellent complement to any loading or unloading process where pallets are used to transport goods. It decreases operator fatigue, increases productivity and safety, and minimises back pain.

MOBILE DESKS ON WHEELS
SELF-LEVELLING - ESX SERIES
CAPACITY of 100kg to 800kg
Available as fixed or mobile self-levelling workstations:
For all containers arranged in successive layers requiring frequent handling over several workstations.
Level is automatically adjusted through weight variations during repetitive loading/unloading operations,
A thumbwheel-adjusted spring is used to adjust desk sensitivity based on user needs; this allows the level to self-compensate as a consequence of weight variation, as loading/unloading is performed.

Desk is mobile and self-contained thanks to battery and integrated 220V charger.
Raising or lowering is effected by pressing the buttons on the removable remote control.
Lastly, these desks feature two swivel wheels (one of them with a brake) and two fixed wheels for better guidance.

Raising is effected by foot pedal, and lowering by handle.
STAINLESS STEEL version : BXS Series, capacity of up to 500 kg
Designed for the agri-food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors, this STAINLESS-STEEL range is designed to be cleaned daily, and its wheels are non-marking.
All these tables are equipped with two swivel wheels (one with brake) and two fixed wheels for better guidance.

TILT
TILTING TABLES
A tilting movement is essential when working with packaging such as boxes sealed on all sides except for an opening on the top, or when needing to empty a tank.
IMS tilting tables enable horizontal loading; a push button control is used to tilt tables to their maximum angle.
In addition, tilting tables operate on 100% pneumatic energy, while integrated cylinders absorb shocks and jolts inherent to forklift loading.
Tilting tables are also available in STAINLESS STEEL.
LIFTING/TILTING EQUIPMENT
These lifting / tilting tables are designed for manufacturers with a range of packaging requiring either the lift function or the tilt function, or the combination of both functions.
IMS lifting / tilting tables enable horizontal loading.
A push button control is used to gradually control both functions individually, until reaching maximum capacity.
The lifting / tilting tables operate on 100% pneumatic energy, while the built-in cylinders absorb shocks and jolts inherent to forklift loading.
They are also available in a STAINLESS-STEEL version.

“LTR” models, or IMS Lifting, Tilting and Rotating tables, enable horizontal loading.
A push button control is used to gradually control both lifting and tilting functions individually, until reaching maximum capacity, followed by rotation, which can be manual or powered.
LTRs operate on 100% pneumatic energy, while integrated cylinders absorb shocks and jolts inherent to forklift loading.

ROTATION
SINGLE OR MULTI-STATION TURNTABLES
Rotating a package makes it easier to access its four sides without the operator themselves needing to move.
IMS turntables can also accommodate several stations on the same platform in order to quickly locate other packages or references during downtime, while swapping complementary packages, all without hindering or interrupting the operator’s work.
Turntable stations can be equipped with tilting / height adjustment or satellite rotation for optimal WORKSTATION ERGONOMY.
Manual or powered rotation available.

Back pain or more broadly MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders) are increasingly evident in medical statistics.
Indeed, up to 25% of sick leave time is due to back problems. Only about two-thirds of those affected see a doctor or self-medicate. For several years, the number of people affected has been increasing.
However, in the workplace, operators could be helped very easily, as ergonomic solutions are available to sustainably and reliably reduce sickness and significantly curb the huge costs associated with sick pay.
